Our Story
Upon graduating from Florida State University in 2018, Olivia began her career working at an insurance agency in Naples. Trevor happened to be working at the same firm, doing a college internship. Despite both having gone to the same middle and high school, it was the very first time that they met. There was an attraction, Trevor even asked Olivia out on a date, but they never connected before Trevor completed his 8-week internship and headed back to Stetson University for his senior year.
Besides liking a few photos on one another’s Instagram, the two did not see each other again until after Trevor graduated from college and returned to work at the company as a full-time employee. In an office with more than 100 people, Trevor’s desk ended up right next to Olivia’s desk. Olivia was not mad. She had harbored a crush on Trevor, and she was going to take advantage of the seating arrangement. One day, Trevor mentioned that he was going sporting clay shooting (a sport Trevor participated in during college). Olivia had no idea what that was, but if it meant some extra time with Trevor, she was up for it! If you don’t know Olivia, it is safe to say that shooting a 12 gauge at moving targets while getting bitten by mosquitoes was not her ideal Saturday morning. Despite the first “date” being hundreds of miles outside of her comfort zone, she had a great attitude, and she was determined to break a clay. She broke all of one clay, and both Trevor and Olivia were relieved. Neither of them was quite sure that the sporting clay shooting was a “date”, but it is the official start of their relationship and they have been inseparable since.
After three years of dating, on November 26th, 2022, Trevor asked for Olivia’s hand in marriage. With the help of both their moms and their puppy, Dexter, Trevor was able to surprise Olivia with a beautiful proposal.
Their favorite times include taking Dexter to the dog park, going on dinner dates, watching movies and their favorite TV series, Dexter (who they named their puppy after), spending time with their wonderful family and friends, enjoying concerts, Florida State football games, and travel.
The happy couple are leaving the day after their wedding for a cruise in the Caribbean, and plan to take a longer honeymoon next summer in Europe.
